The Americas Foundation was established in 1985 by the late Ambassador Theodore E. Gildred. Funded after his passing in 2019, his intention was for the Americas Foundation to fund non-profit organizations based in the United States that qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code that address one or more of the following needs.
