About the
Foundation

The Americas Foundation was established in the 1980’s by the late Ambassador Theodore E. Gildred. Funded after his passing in 2019, his intention was for the Americas Foundation to fund non-profit organizations located in the United States.

Ambassador Gildred was a philanthropist during his life, and he continues to give through the formation of this foundation. During his lifetime, he supported many educational and medical institutions, as well as other organizations focusing on child and family well-being and other social issues.

His family is proud to carry on his legacy through the Americas Foundation.
